Spring Fling: Performance Tracker -- Home Page

Welcome to the Home Page of the admin version of the Performance Tracker for the Dungeness Spring Fling. Only a few people have access to this version (see list under Key People, the link being to the left, at the bottom of the menu). The tracker comprises a suite of web pages and a MySQL database, all residing at the ISP housing the OPAS website.

Key links

Data entry. If you are an activity coordinator, enter updates for your activity via the Activity Results link to the left. If you feel uncomfortable entering data for the first time, feel free to visit the development version of the tracker (link above), which uses a test database, and tinker all you want. You can't hurt anything there.

Database contents. For security reasons, there is no place in the database for individual contact information.

Names. People are identified in the database by their "web names," a required entry (nickname) for children. To cross reference real and web names, use the Name Lookup feature (link to the left).

Teams. To change a team roster (adding or deleting a person), load the registration form for the person, making the change there.

Suspending a person. You can temporarily suspend a person, via an entry on the person's registration form.

Long list of suspended people under Key People. I (DJ) retained 2009 registrants in the database by suspending anyone who has not yet submitted a registration form for 2010.
